JULIE KIRKLAND

Known for her saturated colors and intimate settings, Julie celebrates the beauty and value of the everyday in her paintings.  Her latest works explore “Magical Realism” using common objects in extra-ordinary situations to illustrate human truths and experiences common to us all.  She hopes that each of her art pieces speak of hope, affirmation, and promise, and creates a sense of well being as it hangs in your home or office.

Julie is a signature member of the Pikes Peak Watercolor Society, the Kansas Watercolor Society, the Colorado Watercolor Society and the Rocky Mountain Watermedia Society.  She has won many awards for her paintings during her professional career and in 2004 was selected by Colorado Lifestyle Magazine as one of our region’s “Artists to Watch.”  Her work hangs in corporate and international collections.  Julie also teaches painting in her home studio, and is an instructor at the Bemis School of Fine Arts.
