Marc has drawn his whole life. His college education centered on art, engineering and physics. He has over 35 years of professional experience in visual media of one sort or another including ceramics, technical illustration in ink and gouache, printmaking, photography, video production, set design and implementation, and sculpture as well as computer illustration and image processing, design and 3-D animation.

Karen began weaving baskets over thirty years ago while living in Austria, which was her home for over twenty years. Initially she taught herself from books and later attended workshops by internationally-known basketmakers in England and the USA. She returned to the USA to continue her formal education and in 1997 opened her basketry business. Karen holds degrees in international business, human resource development, German and French.

Both Marc and Karen continually update their skills and learn new techniques through reading, practicing and attending workshops. Karen and Marc have been members of the Pikes Peak Studio Tour since 2004.
