I am captivated by the unexpected, and I revel in the mystery and magic of creating, I become absorbed in the movement of paint on canvas. Often the painting instructs me. Recently I have been working towards more realisim, but my paintings are largely abstractions of our beautiful Colorado. They contain the essence of of landscape but may appear mysterious with their unexpected colors, layers and light, representing the expression of emotion. The joy of color and the joy of creating are evident in these interpretations of the beauty of the land and the sky. When I paint I feel connected to the source of life.

My paintings are expressionistic interpretations in oil paint on canvas. The prairie, to the mountains,canyons, river and skies. Clouds are often the main focus of the piece, color and movement!!
